Apple iPhone 15: USB-C is Finally here

In the world of technology, there are few events that generate as much excitement, anticipation, and speculation as an Apple event. Now that the new iphone 15 series is out here is everything about the new iphone.

Here are the new iphone 15 models in black, blue, green, yellow, and pink color.

The iPhone 15 handsets have received a few design changes but none of these changes are major, like they now have a slight curve on the back edges that should make them slightly more comfortable to hold and all the iphone 15 models have the Dynamic Island.

The biggest upgrade in the new iphone 15 is the introduction of USB-C. For the past decade, the iPhone has had a proprietary Lightning port, but now you’ll be able to charge all your apple devices using the same cable.

The iPhone 15 has same A16 Bionic chip that was introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro models and while it won’t feel much faster in your day-to-day use, you’ll get some new features that might make a difference like the A16 chip has an upgraded image signal processor for better computational photography and Display Engine for smoothing out images and animations.

The iphone 15 now has a new 48MP main camera and 12MP ultra wide. The iPhone 15 can take 2X telephoto shots without a dedicated telephoto lens. And with new “next-generation portraits,” you can adjust the focus and bokeh effect after you click a picture and even if you haven’t switched to Portrait mode.

With the iPhone 15’s new USB-C port, you can now use a charging cable to charge other Apple devices, including an Apple Watch and 2nd-gen AirPods Pro just by plugging them into your iphone.

Here are the color options for the iPhone 15 Pro, Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium, and Natural Titanium.

The iphone 15 Pro and iphone 15 Pro max are made of titanium, which would provide improved strength and lesser weight compared to the older stainless steel iphone models.

Apple has replaced the Lightning port with USB-C on all iPhone 15 models. On the iphone 15 Pro and iphone 15 Pro Max, it’s a faster USB 3 connection offering up to 10 Gbps of bandwidth.

The Pro models have a new A17 Pro processor. The A17 Pro is a 3nm chip which increases efficiency and allows Apple to increase transistor count to 19 billion. There are still two high-performance CPU cores, but they are 10 percent faster, the four high-efficiency cores are also faster. The GPU is paired with a 6-core GPU that uses an entirely new shader architecture. It offers 20% faster performance and better energy efficiency. It also provides new graphics features like mesh shading, and hardware ray tracing acceleration, which Apple says is the fastest in any smartphone and up to four times faster than software ray tracing. Apple has added Wi-Fi 6E and Thread networking and new second-generation U2 Ultra Wideband chip that is more accurate at a greater distance.

Apple's mute switch has been replaced with the new Action button which is customizable as you can set the button to launch the camera, start a voice memos, activate an accessibility feature like launching the Magnifier or flashlight, or running a Shortcut.

The iphone 15 Pro and Pro Max also have a 48MP main camera but is larger than the iphone 15. The telephoto camera on the iPhone 15 Pro is an improved 12MP camera, still with a 3x zoom. But the iPhone 15 Pro Max gets a new periscope lens that bounces light four times internally for a longer focal length of 120mm, or a 5x zoom. The new cameras have new computational photography features aimed at improving color and low light clarity. One new feature is the ability for the camera to recognize people, dogs, or cats in frame and record depth information along with the standard image. Later this year, the iPhone 15 Pro will get an update that enables the recording of Spatial Videos, which use both the wide-angle and main cameras to shoot immersive video meant to be viewed on the upcoming Apple Vision Pro.
