iphone 15 pro Overheating issue is not caused by the A17 pro chip, says Kuo

Many people are complaining that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are getting very hot, even when they're used normally. Many users have reported this issue, but nobody knows for sure why it's happening to so many phones. However, a well-known analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo might have an explanation, and it's not because of the new A17 Pro Bionic chip.

Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the iPhone 15 Pro models are experiencing serious overheating problems because of their thermal management design. Apple made certain compromises to make the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max lighter. One of these compromises is the limited space available for heat to escape, and the use of a titanium chassis, a first for iPhones. These factors seem to have affected how well the phone's cooling system works.

There are reports that Apple might try to fix the overheating problem with software updates. But, significant improvements might not happen unless they reduce the performance of the chipset.

Kuo has also cautioned that if this problem isn't resolved, it could affect the number of iPhone 15 Pro devices they can sell, which would, in turn, impact Apple's revenue. Kuo said,

“If Apple does not properly address this issue, it could negatively impact shipments over the product life cycle of the iPhone 15 Pro series.“
