OnePlus Open will be launched both in India and worldwide on October 19, which aligns with previous rumors. The launch event will be held in Mumbai at 7:30 pm as an in-person event. It's likely that the company will also live-stream the event on YouTube, and you can expect updates related to the event on their social media platforms.

Additionally, OnePlus is offering a pre-reserve pass for Rs 5,000 for a limited time. This pass comes with various benefits, including attending the OnePlus Open global launch event, receiving the phone on the launch day, and getting the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 for free as part of the deal. You can pre-book it from Oneplus website.

OnePlus's recent announcement post provides a sneak peek at the OnePlus Open, confirming that it will feature a folding mechanism similar to the one used in the Galaxy Z Fold 5. This aligns with earlier leaks. The phone is expected to sport a large circular rear camera bump.

In terms of specifications, the OnePlus foldable phone is expected to feature Hasselblad cameras, including a 48MP primary camera, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, a 64MP telephoto lens, and a LiDAR sensor for improved photography capabilities. The front-facing camera is likely to be 32MP for selfies.

The device is anticipated to have an 8-inch primary display with a high 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.3-inch external screen, which might also support a high refresh rate for smooth interactions.

Under the hood, it's expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, ensuring robust performance. The phone should pack a 4,800mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, with options for either 67W or 100W fast charging. The device will likely run on Android 13-based OxygenOS, offering the latest software experience from OnePlus.
